As
a child in a sing-a-long, play-a-long family, centered around
my father, I grew up playing rhythm guitar. That was until
I received the red album by Grand Funk. After hearing Mel
Schacher I knew what I was meant to do. I got a Univox bass
shaped like Paul McCartney's at a hock shop for my 13th birthday,
I played through high school at dances, stage band, and garage
bands. After high school I joined the US NAVY and kept very
busy at sea, playing in steel rooms, on the streets, in clubs
and parties with an endless supply of musicians that were
on board.
After discharge from the service, I've
played in many bands; always involved in some thing or another.
I've got a wonderful family that loves to rock and supports
my never ending need to thump on my Fenders to a crazy crowd.
I'm one of the original members of the
fun loving, hard rocking Stir Crazy Family born about 8 years
ago and still rockin'!
